Why is there artists we hear nothing of for ages?

The way I see it is a lot of bands come out with a few good singles but struggle after. Sometimes I feel like the bands fire so much out to begin with single after single that they have nothing left to give and then just fade. They really should pad it out in my opinion, give people a chance to listen.

No, that's not true. This thread is about artists that have kind of faded out since a couple of years ago and both Alphabeat and La Roux had huge hits ('Fascination' and 'Bulletproof' come to mind) before kind of going underground.

i love alphabeat. they released a second album but it clearly didnt do very well

Yeah. I understand the confusion. I was just joking around about my distaste for La Roux's style in fashion. I am sorry I was confusing, gah! I should be more clear when I speak English.
