My first laptop was a Dell which only lasted a year or so - neither myself or my parents have been back since and we've had Toshibas ever since. I can't remember how long the first Toshiba lasted, but the 2nd lasted from Summer 2009 and it's still going strong right now. I got a new Toshiba laptop from my parents on Friday, for my birthday (it isn't until July but we're going on holiday soon so everything needed transferring) so hopefully it will last me for a few more years! Touch wood!

I've had a Toshiba Laptop for 5 years in 6 days time, not one problem with it, and it still runs perfectly (albeit the battery is pretty knackered now). Although I do have a Dell as my main laptop as of last year.
Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

We bought a toshiba (as a family) which was kinda cheap and i hated it after about a month. Then I got a dell which was even worse LOL!! If you look after a laptop properly they should last at LEAST 2 years, should be more tbh.

I've got a top-spec HP atm, had it for a year and I'm still as in love as the day I bought it!!

I don't understand how people manage to have such bad experiences with people like HP or Dell? All our machines (mostly Dells) at work are on a 3 year rolling replacement now and even then we put some back into use because they still work fine.

I've had my toshiba laptop for a good part of 4 years, never really had any problems with it, it's a tank!

My sister had a toshiba which worked fine until one day it crashed and never worked again.

Having said that my dad had a toshiba which worked fine for years until he eventually swapped it for a newer HP.

I'm using a toshiba right now and I've had it for over a year. I really like it, it has a big screen, the mouse works perfectly. The only problem is that it over heats quickly, so I can never have it on top of anything, I need to put like my remote control under the fan part.

This is what has happened to mine for the second time. I look after it and don't even press hard but as the left key is the one that gets used more boooom it collapses inside. Credit to the i.t company that fixed it though they only took 3 working days
