How did Lost_Witness take over Callie?

I believe she went to work for Club Tropica (?) although I don't know that for a certainty - I nearly recruited her to my Community Operations department under her real name, Justine, but when I found out what she'd done, I was like "Woah, I don't want anyone like that in my department." (Curiously, she denied being Justine Green, being Callie, or having ever worked at Habbo when everything pointed to the contrary...)

No, I don't own a company. I work as the Community Manager (Moderation & Safety) for a games company. Like I said, I nearly hired her for my department (which, incidentally, we're still hiring for!) but I spoke to Rebecca Newton on Skype and she was like "No, no, no! STAY AWAY from her!" She was fired because she essentially went around stealing furniture (thrones and possibly other rares) and selling it, for profit, on various auction websites. At the time, Habbo did not really have the sophisticated tools that they do now (furniture tracking and logging, basically) and so they had to set up a sophisticated lure to see which member of staff was stealing the furniture (because it had to be a member of staff - people were getting furniture picked up that had no rights set in the rooms).

She was eventually caught and asked to leave because obviously that kind of behaviour is never tolerated. I almost hired her, under her real name (which isn't Callie) but fortunately the lovely Rebecca Newton told me about her and advised me to stay away.

So, in essence, yes she was fired and Lost_Witness was promoted to take her place (after being a Moderator or whatever; not entirely sure what he did before becoming Hotel Manager). Moral of the story: Don't abuse staff privileges and try and sell furni (well, it was thrones) for profit.

It's interesting if this is true, since I do remember back around 2003 a member of staff got fired for apparently stealing furniture, chelseaboy or something like that? It would surprise me that after that, Callie was allowed to get away with the same thing.

Also, bucho6 became staff way, way, way after Lost_Witness became HM. I remember when Lost_Witness was a Hobba, then became Office Staff, where he was Player Support - he also went and collected the post from the post office for the competitions if I remember

I think so. I distinctly remember a news header with dionysus in it sitting on boxes when they announced that he would be the hotel manager for the moment! Before that he was assistant to callie and Lost_Witness only actually became HM when dionysus moved from the UK hotel over to sulake HQ in finland.

Lost_Witness was firstly made temporary Hotel Manager, and stayed temporary for a few months. This came about after Callie quit, but there were very strong rumours that she was about to be fired. That's the version I prefer to believe.

I've been told by moderators and staff that Callie was REALLY disliked in the offices... apparently she was really nasty and did a few things "wrong"...

It is also true that she lived a lifestyle she couldn't maintain and was unable to pay her rent in central London. Perhaps not surprising considering how much it costs. Lost_Witness started as an ordinary Habbo and worked his way up, first as a Hobba and then as staff (starting as player support). People did call him 'Chris' but that is because many people played with him in 2002-2004 before he was staff. He was temporary and then Dionysus announced him as permanent Hotel Manager in the summer of 2006. He didn't get made redundant for so long because he had worked at Sulake for so many years he was entitled to a large payment. Was easier for them to try and marginalise him until he found another job.

This information came from former Sulake staff such as Rebecca Newton (as outlined in my post ). I cannot verify the veracity of such information, but I have no reason to believe Rebecca would lie to me, given we were discussing Justine as a candidate in a relatively neutral setting - Rebecca is well connected to the community management industry and I thought I would seek her views on Justine.

It could well be inaccurate, of course, but I doubt that. Feel free to PM me with any further questions, Alex.
