The most that would happen is an amazing light show in the sky, possible power cuts and a zombie invasion. We've died many times before because of solar activity if past news articles are anything to go by, I'm sure we can die again

We've had so many huge solar storms before and they're hardly noticed. They only have a minor effect upon electrical items and are usually unnoticed by the majority of the world. I remember there was a "huge" one a few years ago, it had the power of 20 (billion I think) atomic bombs... we're still here now.
