I hate swearing in songs. It really annoys me as sometimes I LOVE the song (e.g. Perfect by P!NK, Monster by Kanye West, Weightless by ATL, Killing in the Name by RATM) but it's just not necessary!! I hate swearing full stop and am seriously trying to stop doing it myself (typing, I hardly ever swear out loud) because it annoys me when people do it. Artists MUST know that swearing songs will need to be edited to be a success (on the radio), which more often than not destroys the song's point (Forget You has to be the ONLY successful one).

I'm not a fan of swearing in songs, it's like the artist is doing it for the sake of swearing which to be honest is just pathetic. I would say parents could be more strict about it, but it's hard to keep tabs on what kids are listening to and if they don't know the music themselves they won't know which songs/artists to get their kids to avoid. However, parents should be strict on their kids when they hear them swear, because far too many kids go around swearing thinking it's 'cool' or makes them 'hard,' or whatever. It's pathetic and makes them and their parents look disgraceful.

Yeah, I'm not a big, big fan of swearing in music, however I think swearing should be used in the song if they're expressing something.

I hate when singers in terrible music start to over-use the swearing, they probably do it on purpose to make them seem like they're making the song cooler, yet it's just dreadful, imo.

Regarding the Parents and Children, you can't stop children listening to the music.... one family isn't gonna change the whole 'Swearing in songs should be banned' or whatever...

I'm not overly fussed about swearing unless of course it involves sexual references then that song is a big no-no.

Mainly because I'm a Rap & Grime fan, it contains a lot of swearing.

I don't exactly like it or sexual lyrics, especially in regards to children.

But as usual, if you don't like something then don't buy it or listen to it.

Kids are gonna swear either way... If they don't learn it from their parents they're going to learn it somewhere else. We can't shelter them from the real world forever.

The parents, they should stop the children from listening to this music if it upsets them so much. It's the artists music they can do what they like.
