Chippiewill.
I haven't used the maps app but even so if I disliked it I'd probably just try bing maps or use the google maps html5 app until Google's native iOS app is approved for maps (they've submitted it so it should be soon available). I wont forfeit my jailbreak to upgrade to iOS6, but I would put up with using the google maps html5 app for a little bit because Siri on the iPad, and improved nitro would make it worth it.Is it me or did they shoot themselves in the foot with the first ad?
"A: An amazing coincidence or B: A dazzling display of common sense?"
Well if it was A, then it's interesting how other smartphones have had larger screens for quite sometime now, especially the popular ones. So yeah, a very amazing coincidence and nothing revolutionary
But they pick B, because they're "pretty sure it's just common sense". I'm sure that advert didn't go through any checks, admitting you lack common sense openly in an advert does not make you look very clever
Apple have done it again with their advertisements. First the Genius adverts which is just another way of Apple suggesting their products are not easy to use, contrary to the common belief that they are and that advertising your support team must really be a good idea (when it's such a marketing faux pas to do so). Now these ones making their business practices look as though they lacked common sense prior to September 2012. That said, they seem to lack common sense if these reports are coming in about their new Maps App are true. Product testing anyone? Apple seemed good at product testing when Jobs was at the head :/
EDIT: The headphones are nice though. It's probably what they spent less resources on for the advert
shocker: gomme doesn't like Apple's advertisements
Well, your opinion is noted but I think most companies have advertising agencies that evaluate advertisements before they put them out so I don't think these advertisements will be the downfall of Apple or anything. They just seem like advertisements to me, just as boring normal as any others.
Based on the sales statistics thus far:

I would say even without TV ads Apple has sold quite a lot of devices *clutches my 4s close towards my heart*!
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
They got rid of their genius adverts because they were useless, their agencies clearly didn't pick up the problems with the adverts and Apple removed them. Heck, they seem happy to deny them now that their YouTube account seems to of removed them completely. It's amusing they're so bad at advertisements, it's no wonder they never air in the UK.

They've had successful and unsuccessful advertisements like any company. Personally I don't care very much for any sort of advertisements, because I'm more interested in watching reviews and learning about actual products! They got rid of their genius adverts because they were useless, their agencies clearly didn't pick up the problems with the adverts and Apple removed them. True, but the adverts they do make tend to be removed after a while over here. False advertising or generally being a nuisance is their delicacy. You would like the UK, organisations actually have to make adverts informative - so you would learn quite a lot about some products here. The Advertising Standards Agency is a God send![]()
