Lol, Ill blow up that that bandwagon you just jumped on. Green day's old stuff is better, there really is no comparison, everyone who actually has listen to their old stuff, especially dookie, agrees old green day kicks new's butt...

Usually, the people who think their new stuff is better, think that because they heard their new stuff first, and when they look back at the old stuff, it sounds different. Dookie was the first album I ever had back when I was 4 To this day, I think its the best album Iv ever had, and probably one of the greatest albums of the 90's.


The offspring are okay, but a bit inconsistant. They are up and down, over the years. All and all their great, but better than green day is a stretch.

First of all someone missed the "some" in my comparison by American Idiot to other albums, I listened to Dookie, and while some of the tracks were good, others just sounded terrible. I listened to Basketcase, When i come around, Good riddance and various other Greenday songs before going to see Greenday BEFORE i even bought American Idiot.

I didnt buy the album because everyone else was doing it, and i had only heard 3 songs from American Idiot before i saw them Live, and then only bought it because i thought the songs were good AFTER the gig.

In future try not to throw generalisations at me.

Exactly, generalizations. I wasent saying you, its just tons of people think that green day is new, and it gets me so friggin mad.

I didnt mean you, I was just rambeling on afterwards I can understand liking new green day, but I think old green day is a lot better. Dont take it the wrong way.

gah.. one of my m8s thinks shes greendays biggest fan and shows off a ton, whilst my other friend whos been quitely worshipping them for years pulls it off much better. i feel your pain

Offspring only had half a good album... Smash

The rest of their stuff was mediocre with a few good songs thrown in here and there. Offspring gets huge deductions for Americana.

So with that, I'd have to say Greenday is better.

I think both the Offspring and Green Day are great bands. I thought I liked The Offspring more, but now I've decided on Green Day*.

They're both good yes. But Offspring used to be better, now they've just gone down. Well that's what it's like for me, but I still like them.
