This does need to be looked at though, and a decision needs to be made about DJs having access to post in the CNB, and permissions for Habbox Announcements need to be looked at since it seems heaps of staff that shouldnt be able to post threads in there can!

Probably because people have not realised If it is going to be the case then it needs to be known to DJs so that they can post threads about important shows and stuff, since I don't often see DJs utilising that feature even if it does exist.
well when my halloween show comes up im going to post it in CNB now! or get Gina/Jade too lool! Better promotion! I know other fansites do this for every single show!
i used to put the names of my favourite singers here... then i realised nobody cared

Yeah things like that should always be posted in there anyway, big shows etc. Just not every show or announcements will get bumped over too quickly, especially on a day like today where there is a habbox event practically every hour! In the past its always been a senior member of the hxl team posting them from what I've seen, but I guess allowing DJs to do it themselves does make sense providing they know to only post it if the show has been approved and is worthy of such advertising etc and not just a smallish thing during the show. I'm sure Mike will make a decision about that though

Seems the habboxlive and events usergroups are allowed to post in the announcements section for some reason. Matt will have to answer this one as I have no idea why it's like this.

I don't see it being a problem if only regular staff can post announcements. It is actually quite handy for when I want to post an announcement for a special show or a weekly perm show. I believe the permissions were changed for the summer spectacular and weren't changed back since. I say restrict trialists as they're only new, leave regular staff with the permissions but only allow them to post in the cmb if they have permission, if they do so without permission, send them a warning.

agreed with this, although I'm not sure why HxSS permission changes would have allowed those staff to post in 'Habbox Announcements', CNB fair enough but permissions should never have been set to Habbox announcements surely. Think the thing about trialists is a good idea too, so long as its clarified in the hxl staff forum so that people are aware that these big shows must have been granted permission/are official, then it makes sense for them to be able to post in cnb for it. Just definitely not Habbox announcements though, thats my main beef with this

Yeah i think he means cnb when he says announcements? But if you are allowed to post in cnb you can automatically posted in announcements? i think thats how it works cause i could in events when i was on trial.
