In that case, I'd go for the iPad Mini. Well - it'd still be fine for gaming. The mini is basically a smaller iPad 2 but with Siri, and I have an iPad 2 which is still running well and I use it for youtube/email/gaming/web browsing.. it's beginning to go slow but I've had it for ages, so not surprised really. The screen really isn't bad, unless you've used a retina iPad before because then it will seem like a step down. So unless you want a bigger screen, then the iPad Mini should be fine for you
