Your motherboard is compatible with that processor and also just worth mentioning, as you're getting a 660TI your mobo has PCI 3.0 enabled so you'll get much faster speeds. That processor will also take advantage of 3.0 as your previous processor did not. ^_^

CPU Support list if you wanna check it out, the socket is 1155 so I think it's compatible with that fan too!

I use it for both general use and gaming. I play games like Planetside 2, Skyrim, Borderlands 2 & a few other games which are quite intensive. Tell you what though, if you've got the spare cash try get an SSD and install your OS on that! Sandisk do a 120GB disk for like 60 quid? My mate uses them and it hasn't faulted him once. The write/read speed doesn't have to be reallllllllllly fast to reap the benefits of an SSD. If you've got an extra 60, even use some of the space to run games on.

Btw dunno if you use Overclockers but they have advent calendar deals on right now, one of them is this for RAM (40 quid for 16GB!)

First thing I thought was the case is a bit pricey, what website did you use to build it? All my friends are recently getting customs off Vibox and they have nice cases for a fair bit cheaper than that, but as I'm skint I'm stuck with my crappy laptop

https://www.vibox.co.uk/ Have a look, it's a decent site, and there decent cases are roughly 80 quid I think.
