they're not much different to be honest and both will EASILY handle what you want to do so there's barely any difference for you to worry about. I prefer AMD cores because they've always been nicer to me, so I'd go for that one but like I said they're not noticeable different unless you're going to use it for hardcore gaming in which case AMD would be better.

"The expression anecdotal evidence refers to evidence from anecdotes. Because of the small sample, there is a larger chance that it may be unreliable due to cherry-picked or otherwise non-representative samples of typical cases.[1][2] Anecdotal evidence is considered dubious support of a claim; it is accepted only in lieu of more solid evidence."

    Don't get the AMD one.

AMD generally do make better processors than Intel, my past 2 intel drives have both failed on me as soon as I install and try to play my games. For a laptop (because of the combined harddrive/graphics card) AMD has quite a lot of advantages, and Intel HARDLY lets you upgrade anything else - I've bought a new graphics card for my AMD-based laptop but if I got the Intel one I was planning on to start with I couldn't be doing that now as there's no extra slots for that and no possibility for upgrade. I do agree that Intel IN GENERAL make better processors, but you have to pay a lot more, AMD do better low-end cores than intel do.

Well I'm not because I COULDN'T upgrade my last intel drivers on my laptop but there is room for a separate dedicated graphics card with my current AMD laptop... and they're facts.

    Are you serious?!

AMD haven’t been at the top of their game in the processor world for quite some time. When they first announced their bulldozer range they were supposed to compare to Intel’s sandy bridge processors but they failed at doing that. Intel processors have always been better for quite a while and you can see this by looking at benchmarks running various tests and running the latest games.

You said “Intel HARDLY lets you upgrade anything else” – What do you mean by that? I have a custom built PC with an Intel CPU and I can upgrade anything in my PC with ease. It would also be the same case if I had an AMD processor setup as well. In terms of laptops – You can’t just pull out components and start replacing them at all, the only “real” upgrade a user could technically do is the ram and the hard drive. You can’t start replacing graphics cards or anything like that – That’s possible in desktops but not laptops. You also state that you have room in your laptop for a dedicated graphics card – I doubt that very much.

AMD sell processors a lot cheaper than Intel and that is a fact. But in terms of performance, Intel CPU’s normally win. Especially when it comes down to gaming.

yes when you have a lot of money and a PC an intel processor is probably the better choice. which is what i said.
