Really enjoyed tonight's episode. Really have enjoyed the character Dugdale, not sure if anyone else has. The ending was a bit of a shock and I wonder if this means a second series, they are putting series 1 on the DVD but then again I've seen other 1 series shows doing this occasionally.
I watched a bit last night, then I couldn't be arsed to watch the rest.

http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/utopia/2...-finale-reviewUtopia director Mark Munden confirmed that Dennis Kelly is already in the process of sketching out series two, should Channel Four grant one.
My expectations were super high for last nights episode, and for me it punched just a little bit too low. Some of the acting in this series has been phenomenal, but I don't think Jessica Hyde or Milner have been that great, so the big finale scene between them didn't really do it for me. Jessica was great at doing the loner thing at first, but as her character adapted to being around people, I feel as if the acting became weaker.
I always knew there was something off about Milner - the whole visit to her house to see her child was not right, but it definitely clicked when she turned up at the warehouse. Something wasn't right.
Also with Wilson - I was never convinced that he thought what the network was doing was right. We never had an impassioned speech, it was all "well you know guys, its not that bad an idea, you know, it might work". There was no conviction resulting from that very convincing speech the head of corvatt gave.
Also, Ian?! Its like he didn't exist before. We saw his brother get him out of prision, and then no mention of his life since. Also he only joined the chatroom the day before, said he was in it for the art, then never referred to the art again?
I was really happy that Alice was resolved fairly fully - however gaining any sort of paper work is gonna be a proper nightmare.
Hypothetically speaking, if there's another series (which I hope there is), what do you guys think will happen? Do you think Wilson's dead? Do you think Becky faked that fit? Do you think the remnants of The Network will be after them? What about Grant, will he be able to go back ginger soon? What do you think happened to that ******* pervy doctor? Do you think Jessica has any other psycho siblings? Who could be Jessica's mother (MILNER?!?!?)?
Over all I found Utopia absolutely brilliant, and beautifully shot. It was engaging and subtle and humorous without forfeiting plot, and I'd love another series.
We never saw Arby die to and if you listen at the end of the credits he says something - the gas is still on or something can't remember exactly. There's a lot wondering if Milner is Arby and Jessica's mother. My expectations were super high for last nights episode, and for me it punched just a little bit too low. I'm not sure what to expect if they do another series. There's still a few questions but if the plan is still the same, sterilization, I wonder how they will plan to do it in the series without being too repetitive. Although it does beg the question was that the actual plan? I do believe it was but imagine if not only was the manuscript unimportant but the actual plan was something completely different.
I know this is a bit of a bump but it looks like Utopia - Series 2 started last night on Channel 4. I haven't watched it myself yet but I remembered a couple of people from here watched the first series.
Yeah watched last night which was set in the past and there's a new one tonight in the present
