    Being honest you don't have to read the alerts that staff send out. As Cheezy said you just have to click it and it's gone.

    I think Alert Message need their own button that is set to on when you log in, but you can turn off getting unimportant alerts with a simple click of a button. For example, important alerts would be ones that are extreme importance that everyone should hear, then comes events and random conversation.
