It does look tidier and the icons on the left are smaller than before, the current version it's all over the place. I don't use Google+ but from what I have seen of it, it does similar. But again, like any other layout update on Facebook we'll get used to it.

I quite like the look of this. I never really stayed on Google+ as I couldn't (be bothered to) get my head around it so I can't comment on that aspect. Anyway, it looks better than the current one IMO and it'll be a nice change when it does get here.
