I think it just appears that way from his screenshot because he is using starter furni generated for his account around the same time.

I get that they'll have different numbers but there are definitely not 146,064,490 bronze elephants in the hotel haha. My point is that it's not obvious what number that item is in relation to the other items of the same furni.

Plus we don't yet know if, for example, all the ducks are in one group and share a few of the first numbers etc. It could just be completely jumbled up.

Interesting, norms shouldn't have chooser, they don't allow furni properly anymore so HC shouldn't get rid of something that's exclusive for them as it's just making it worse to be a subscriber.

Furni IDs have always existed, haven't they? That's how staff can track furniture. Back in the very early days of the :furni command, didn't it give the coordinates of the furniture and the ID number?

Yeah they have lol and I'm pretty sure I remember using :furni and having the ID show up. Why they're returning this just seems pointless though, why would the room owner need to see the ID of their furni :S?

It will be based on when the furniture was created/bought. So the furniture that was introduced on Jan 11, 2001 will have the earliest IDs. The latest furniture will have the longest IDs.

Although, I'm not entirely sure what the merge did to furniture IDs, so it might not be like that now...
