    It doesn't need to be good now, the entire point is that we can wait and let our economy recover before we let ourselves be concerned about the debt.

    But as Ron Paul has pointed out before in regards to US debt - to actually pay off the debt just via growth, the US economy would have to grow something like 10% (I forget the actual figure) every year for the next 60 years odd just to break even.
