Not its not, sure if you ignore inflation we're spiralling out of control but the fact is not only does inflation exist but we can tame it to an extent.

But as Ron Paul has pointed out before in regards to US debt - to actually pay off the debt just via growth, the US economy would have to grow something like 10% (I forget the actual figure) every year for the next 60 years odd just to break even.
