Argh, four years ago when I was in intermediate the same thing happened to me, my then best friend asked out Adam [yes, i still loved him then ] and he said yes and she expected me TO BE HAPPY FOR HER WHEN SHE KNEW I LOVED HIM AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN LIKE HIM. but anyway they broke up like a week later and the next year Adam asked me out. And yeh. And I made up with that friend. :']
