I've tried suggesting subforums for a fair few things in the past (Pointless threads, RuneScape etc) and I always got the response that HxF wants to avoid sub-forums because they are hidden away in other forums and don't get people posting in them blah blah blah.

HxF loves thread prefixes though, I'm sure adding more of them will make everyone happier(!)

I suggested this a while back and was pretty much slammed for it.

Obviously, there should be a forum for this kind of news. But hey.

I knew it was suggested pretty recently and do wonder why nothing came of it

Maybe the fact people don't post in subforums is down to the content/topic, not the fact no-one knows they are there :L Or, just have a whole new "Celebrity Gossip" forum in discuss anything. It seems to be popular enough..

Plus, I'm sure the RuneScape players got told "You won't be given a subforum just because there's an increase in activity"

I don't think there's much need, it's pretty easy to differentiate between celebrity gossip and Romanians and Bulgarians coming to take over the country.

I'm not so sure about it, but there isn't any harm in trying it if thats what a majority wants. We can just as easily remove a subforum if it doesn't work.
