is bacon overrated?

Uhh I'm a vegetarian but bacon smells pretty good. Don't like the idea of cooking it though because it looks like it spits hot fat at you the whole time ouch

I do like bacon, but having it all the time just puts you off. So, it can be over-rated to an extent.

I think the problem is that there are so many types of bacon and so many ways you can cook it that people will have a bad experience with unsmoked back bacon barely warmed up and be put off for life despite the existence of oak-smoked streaky cooked to be crisp without smashing when you put the fork in. Badly done bacon does make me quite sad

Bacon isn't overrated! I love it, but I don't like the fat on it and much prefer it when it's well done.

It's amazing if you cut the fat off, and get high-quality bacon. Otherwise it's just nasty...
