ON TOPIC; MY ATTENDENCE IS PERFECT EVEN THOUGH YOU DIDN'T ASK ME WHAT MY ATTENDENCE WAS SO I'M PROBABLY STILL POSTING OFF TOPIC.

must ask again, why pay thousands for an education, complain about the high costs, then don't turn up?

my attendance is very good, only off when im extremely ill or family issues. it's only a few hours a day lol there are people in m class who turn up every few weeks n i don't see why as they're learning overall 25% of what we need per module basically then only receiving a D or C if they pass.. but then iv seen some people online rarely go n still get decent grades.

I barely missed any. I hated missing them because you'd miss out and the lecture slides they put up were rubbish.

I haven't missed a single lecture and I've only taken days off in placement when I had a bad infection but even then I had to make up the hours

I always make sure to goto college, whenever I miss a day I feel like I've missed out on sooooo much and I hate it. Although ill be honest the past two weeks I've missed two days, but it's genuinely because I'm after getting bogged down with assignments all in the one go and taken the days out to do them.

My attendance isn't perfect, I'll miss out certain days if I have to travel 2+ hours to listen to someone talk for 50 minutes when I could have gotten the same information from the lecture notes that are already online.

But we have 21 hours of lectures and tutorials a week, so if you miss a lot, there's not a lot of time to catch up either, so it's worth going. Never had my attendance measured though, so I wouldn't be able to give you any numbers.

I still do the work all the time, and the reason I don't always turn up to a certain few lecturers are the ones who simply just read off a power point when I can do that in the comfort in my accommodation on my laptop.

    this is also my logic

lectures can also be pretty bad for me in that it's just lines of code you'll have to go to the presentation slide for anyway so what's the point being there when they don't explain it well anyway

Personally I'm paying £27,000 for a degree, not for freely available lecture material

    .
    .

As long as you know the material and do well in exams/coursework I don't see the issue. I rarely attend uni (have around 4% attendance) but I get good marks. As I say I'm paying tuition fees for my education to be written officially on paper (the degree), I couldn't care less for attendance.
