with no text? I asked about images that CONTAIN text. Don't you think it's a little silly to ask that users essentially regurgitate their post in text form? Surely it's taking advantage of the extra tokens they'll get for making their post longer?

Scenario 1: thread title: what is your favourite quote?
reply: *user has been warned by uptightmoderator22: please do not post images without supplementary textual response

Scenario 2: thread title: what is your go-to dance to impress the ladies?
reply: *user has been warned.. don't post pointlessly

Scenario 3: question: do you present yourself differently in different contexts?
reply: *user has been... you get the picture

These are just a few images I had to hand, other users will have more with more specific text or content. I just don't understand why you are penalising users that feel an image would express their opinion better at that very moment than text would. You seem to be trying to eradicate all images without justification. If users enjoy images and they contribute to a thread in their own way (ok i get it rolling eye gifs and the like do not, you can still label those pointless) then users should NOT be told that they are posting pointlessly.

Ok you have a point for the images containing text so we'll let you have those, however the text has to be relevant and any images without the text will still be dealt with.

The rule is quite clear. Any post that contains an image with no text will be dealt with in the same way.

Technically there was no rule about the images at all which caused it to be moderated inconsistently.
