People tends to post away and abuse it. Some may think they can get away with it. When I was in the department there was always people posted away or planning to go away but yet again some were still active on the forum or on skype. For example, internet problems not able to dj this week due to internet....but yet again you see them online on skype. No they are not on mobile. Some has valid reasons some just couldn't be bothered to even DJ.

Now the the question I always ask to myself, why apply when they are always posting away almost every week....? no really it is understandable to have a few things to do and not be able to DJ, as real life comes first but posting away that much??? Well, just resign and come back when you think you will be more available.

It's not the time that's the problem so much, it's the reasons

Habbox is not a real job, it's a hobby - we're giving up our time for the website, not the other way around. We already have problems with falling staff numbers... it's not as though there are people clamouring for jobs within most of the departments. The rule has worked fine and does work fine, why fix something that is not broken?

I'll admit myself that I have my on and off weeks in the departments I serve in. This is because a) I have other things to do in my life, b) My Habbox roles come second to my time on the forum due to the fact I was asked back into my roles and c) At my age and lack of interest in Habbo anymore, I shouldn't really have Habbox roles anymore: I returned as a favour to two friends. If I were to take two weeks off because of social life/university committments, would Habbox benefit from losing me from the staff? Because that's what we're proposing here.

Why would you need two weeks off to socialise that's like 2 days still loads of time to do a basic Hx job if that's a commitment you've chosen

Yeah. I'm generally talking about people, who post away for the sake of it, or don't even meet their mins, which is on purpose. Effort is always the key.

I'm really sorry Chris you didn't have to fire me

O/t I think it's quite unnecessary to bring it down to 1 week. It's the managements job to make sure people aren't abusing it.

3 weeks and no longer is fine, otherwise you're usually forced to resign I think because it's not fair on other users (unless in serious circumstances)

If you were away longer than that, you cannot physically not go away because of your Habbox job, that would be ridiculous so I know it may seem unfair from that view because of that reason but it's tough really.

I couldn't be bothered to read the entire thread so it's probably already been said cry

But wasn't there some rule that if you were posted away but you were on habbo/the forum etc you could be warned or something

The rules are fine. People go on holiday for 2 weeks. so 1 week is unfair. Also if there on habbox or habbo for a long time just give them a strike because they are clearly active
