we need a new forum manager
Tara, you're just still in a huff I didn't let you in The Jungle, we were fine before you had your tantrum :rolleyes:
i would say there has been a communication breakdown but there doesnt seem to be any communication between departments to begin with these days
From what I'm aware of it's starting this evening but at the time of you posting the thread the forums weren't supposed to be active or indexing on the new posts search forum.
ah okay, well even better more chance for you to take our feedback on board!!!
Not a communication breakdown at all, the depts. got together and made the tasks, all I had to do was set up the forums which has been done.![]()
@shonely; i think

ok maybe not
Kyle's right, the nature of the competition means it has to be closed off to keep it fairer. Perhaps when it's all said and done there'd be an argument to have a portfolio of all the drawings and a 'bonus' competition where if you guess the most you win a prize but I think as it is now is really the only way you can do it.
to make my feedback more clear I'll put it this way.
Currently you have 1 thread for everything according to;
What I suggest is, sure with first part make the applications private, also post in it with the word for their task, but for the actual post have them post it in some public forum (in the draw my thing section) so people can actually see it instead of the same private thread.1. Post a thread in the Draw My Thing sub-forum, with your forum name as the thread title, telling us that you want to play! Your thread can only be viewed by the competition organisers and yourself.
2. Once you've posted your thread, we will reply with your first task. You will be given a choice of three words to draw: one easy, one medium and one hard. You choose one of these words to draw, and once you have finished, you post your choice of word and your drawing in the thread.
This allows other members to look at it and guess, and something to do really even if you don't want to have some audience participation it's still entertaining to look over images people have drew and try to guess the answers.
The only way you'd be able to 'cheat' really is if you have public members telling the Staff members the answer, but that's already going to be a potential issue as staff members can tell each other the answers, and I trust you trust your staff enough to not cheat anyway so it won't be an issue.
So yeah
- Private thread for application, and each 'task' will be sent to them
- Public thread for each competition entry
Also surely the user should be able to start with the colour black!
