Defeats the purpose having a spur of the moment thing if you're going to give 24 hour notice........................

They're meant to randomly appear, not give you a day to make up some threads to get ready to post or replies to others so killing some activity as people are waiting to get double points..

24 hour notice would be stupid.
2 a day is acceptable (I assume it would be like 10gmt then 4gmt or something like that @Phil; )

Yeah something like that if I wake up in time

@Everyone; So you would rather spur of the moment or scheduled ones

    Spur of the moment obviously

Scheduled ones are always going to make people wait to post in threads they'd normally instantly reply to which is just going to negatively effect activity on the day that it's been scheduled.

    Definitely spur of the moment.
Activity will drop before and after the designated time if scheduled.

I agree with Jen, spur of the moment is much better.

In the future I'll be doing random days. I might know when they are but nobody else will. On the days I do them in the future, I'll do two and hopefully most if not all of the members.

the fact is that there is zero point doing a 'spur of the moment' happy hour when there's only 1-2 people online as it won't be nearly as successful and you wouldn't have had many threads to actually post in.
