I'm a big fan of a multicultural country and would love to travel the world and see lots of different cultures one day, I just think we should have a better control and those that do come over shouldn't in a sense bite the hand that feeds them. Could you give some examples of this biting the hand that feeds them please?

As in they leave their country and we let them in and then they try to change things and cause problems because they want this country to be like their country. Which to me is being ungrateful to the country that's allowed you to come in.

But that is the point, that you cannot have a multicultural country and have respect for the mother culture as it either becomes diluted or comes under pressure from other cultures to allow space for themselves - something we are increasingly seeing with demands for Sharia Law to be granted over English Common Law. If all cultures are equal (which I do not think they are but if we presume that under law) then ultimately in time you are going to have these cultures demanding special treatment or laws tailored to their culture which in many cases will make a mockery of our culture, way of life and legal system. Just look at the increasing division between the English and the Scottish and we are practically the same and very similar. If a large proportion of Scots are demanding special laws or outright independence, do you really think large areas of Britain which are no longer British in any sense won't demand the same too at some point?

You can have a multiracial country with a strong dominant culture like the United States, but you cannot have huge parts of your inner cities resembling Bombay, Bangladesh or downtown Baghdad - nor can you allow for their customs to be brought here because in time, it will cause violence and sectarianism just as we have seen in multicultural countries such as the Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, the Sudan, suburbs of Sweden, southern Russia, Tibet in China, parts of Pakistan...... and so on and so on.

John Cleese below sums up basically what you and I are arguing, I think you would agree?

Integration and multiracialism work, multiculturalism doesn't.

I do not want huge swathes of my country to become practically foreign places.
