    Technically you can receive a full acquittal for murder if it was in self-defence. It wouldn't be manslaughter unless you used excessive, unreasonable force. The law comes from a son who shot dead his father who was going to kill his mother and was in the middle of committing it.

    It's a really interesting area to look into. I recommend it just for interest Self-defence isn't necessarily about defence of yourself but others too, including property as well so it's quite a big topic!

    There's been accidents where people have thrown one punch, the person ends up dead and they're locked up for life that is one of the main reasons I have created this topic to basically question should THAT be fair?
