I think my favourite features of the new OS is Continuity.

I love how if your starting an email or anything on your iPhone or iPad and walk up to your mac it'll give you a little notification.

I also think its cool how you can make and take phone calls on your mac now.
Those are my favourite features too. Can't wait for September now!

Anyone managed to get the OSX Beta Preview to update for Yosemite? Mines still throwing a 404 error.

Is it possible to get it early without signing up for the beta program? I've registered for beta though so hopefully I'll get the update whenever it becomes available.

All I've understood is that OS X has now incorporated features from modern day Linux distros, taken the idea of transparency from Windows Aero dating back to Vista and made things a bit blocky like with Windows 8 and Metro. As for iOS, from what I've seen are Windows Phone features and Android widgets. There are some criticisms that Apple is doing what Microsoft did with Windows 8 and that's try and unify a desktop OS with a mobile OS, or at least show signs of thinking of doing this.

    Swift seems impressive though.

Yeah, just wanted to see the features where you stop on one device and continue on the other and then the phone calls coming to the Mac as well, quite interesting and clever
