Except all the things it's illegal to love.

Anyway, isn't gay rights more of a state by state issue anyway? Can Obama even do anything about that?

heterosexuals aren't being oppressed by society so why would they require a month of awareness?
straight people are not the ones struggling for equality and social acceptance due to their sexuality

He could use an extreme interpretation of the Constitution in order to force it through.

So I can't take pride in being heterosexual. So this is just a case of the minority oppressing the majority...

What about straight people who are oppressed for other reasons? Why do they not get a song and dance in the media & whatnot? It's stupid to even give it a month of "awareness" to begin with as it just makes it seem like it's abnormal to be LGBT, making them stand out more when the aim is to promote "equality".

Are LGBT people really that oppressed in the west/developed world? In the UK, the biggest issue they seemed to complain (and go about wrongly in my opinion) was gay marriage which is virtually identical to civil partnership... You could say lots of people get bullied for being it, and you're probably right however people get bullied for so many reasons that being LGBT isn't actually the issue.

Why are you bothered by there being a LGBT month? How does it negatively impact you?

Personally, I couldn't care less. So what if there's a LGBT month, so what if there's a Black history month etc.

Would you mind a white history month?

It doesn't negatively impact us, but it really gets on our nerves. The self-pity industry is very profitable.

Exactly, he completely ignores the constitution when it comes to war so what's to stop King Obama? The hilarious part -which they're too stupid to realise - is that whenever Democrats seek to use federal powers over the states, they have to remember that it in turn gives the GOP license to do so aswell.

No, I wouldn't mind. If people want to do that, go ahead.

Fair enough, but I would suggest that the office of the President shouldn't be treating one race/one sexuality specially over another.

Because, to me, it just highlights an "us vs them" kind of attitude (by people of all sexualities) and in all honesty, I find it frustrating how people constantly have to look at people by sexuality, race, sex etc. rather than by their ideas and these kind of awareness movements seem more backward than forward to me. So whilst it doesn't affect me directly, I don't believe it benefits society as a whole.
