I don't think the changes made the furniture look much worse, other than the teleporters which looks a bit plain to me. The lava lamp though was a huge improvement imo and is currently one of my favourite rares .
they dont look as nice with out the branding

i don't think we'll ever get a real reason, but thinking about it i wondered if the contract was only for habbo.co.uk. checking the forums apparently the logos for idea agency were removed december 2009, which was just before the announcement of merging the hotels (apparently jan 2010).

obviously this doesn't match up with camp rock being changed july 2009, but just a theory.

The branding was removed in some cases long before the merge, in some cases during. This is down to regional licenses that were granted for the respective brands. Sulake have/had a minfield of national laws to fall in-line with, head offices in Helsinki with satelite offices in London and elsewhere, it would all depend on where the deal with the brand was orignally licensed.

Like many broken furniture names, missing images and handitem42s, the promotional furni retain elements of their original branding as they have fallen on the ever growing pile of little fixes that are never resolved in-client, in fact, branded furniture is often the worst offending category with its telling 'ads_' extension: ads_1800 teleports, ads_clwall1, ads_dtlrare etc etc.

I don't see this being tidied in any consistent way anytime soon, it will likely just continue on...

Slightly off topic - Is it just me or is your signature extremely obnoxious. Just seems unnecessarily large for what it is.

    Anyway, back on topic.
The Lavalamp looks so much better, I like the sofa without the branding too.
    The tele looks horrible though.

As to why, I imagine it was mostly due to licensing from the other hotels, but being Habbo, I doubt we'll ever really know for sure.

Also the point on the '_ads' labels and such on those furni I completely agree.. They certainly are the biggest offenders, and I doubt they'll be cleaned up anytime soon just like the numbers of other small fixes which would tidy the place up a bit in-client..

I don't display signatures, though I see it is a lot larger than I'd intended, a good prompt to fix this thanks, had it for a while...
