If you make a smoothie though, and it's healthy you'll generally be ok to burn it off with regular exercise! If you don't regularly exercise and drink them too often then it's a problem, as you're not burn off the sugars which later then turn to fats that aren't needed!!!!I like the idea of smoothies but they're not as healthy as everyone seems to think.
Rough amount of sugar in your smoothie:
9g per mandarin (more if it's tinned)
two slices of pineapple is roughly 12g
about 6g in half a tin of peaches
4.8g in eight strawberries
not sure how much sugar in blackberries, but not much according to google
roughly 6g in a handful of blueberries
like 0.6g in eight raspberries
13g in a nectarine
Yeah so this adds up to 51.4g (give or take obviously) in that one smoothie, but the recommended daily allowance for women in the UK is 50g according to the NHSMost people only seem to think of calories and fat being unhealthy, but sugar's up there too!
Anyway, it does sound delicious but I would be dying from the sugar rush!
