My parents are still married... for now (not in a good place atm).

they seperated when I was 12 through domestic violence so me and my mum went into womens refuge housing. My dad married someone else 2 weeks after meeting her and then social services got involved as she'd neglected all her kids and had all 9 taken off her. she trapped me in a room and she got banned from contact with me it even went as far as her not being allowed to write me a christmas card so for 2 years my dad chose to be with her and not see me at all. He's now in a relationship with someone else and hasn't married them as quick. To this day he still defends his ex wife even though I'm his daughter which makes me mad but I love my dad, but I feel that put a strain on our relationship. It does put me off marriage tbh and my parents still bicker as bad as they did when they were together.

My mum and dad were married for around 15 years and it finally ended in divorce after years of verbal and physical abuse, she then met someone else and has recently split from him after almost 10 years (he moved out today to be precise), she is now seeing someone who is still married but not living with his wife and she seems the happiest she has ever been so I am happy for her. As for my dad, I've no idea what he's up to relationship wise.

Parents been married for 27 years, but together for 30 and to be quite honest they are such an inspiration.
Too many people split up these days whether it's someone having an affair, or they can't get through the tough times but I'm so proud that my parents stuck it out
I just don't get why the divorce rate is so high. Seriously, if you don't want to be together forever then why vow to? And why do people give up on their vows so easily and cheat like it's not a big deal etc? It's disgusting :/
I feel so bad for the people who have their SO die or become terribly sick and they are so in love and then there's just people throwing their marriages down the toilet

never married but had same step dad for 10ish years
