    Both really, it depends.

But males definitely get it hard when it comes to sexism, I've never honestly met a female that isn't sexist in real life. They always say males are the sexist ones, but females are just as bad if not worse.

Is that some kind of joke lol

I understand women can be prejudiced against men but in case u haven't noticed we've only recently started to be allowed the same rights as you.

"Females are just as bad if not worse"?
I'm sorry but what do u mean by this? Can u suddenly not vote? Can u suddenly not own your own property? Or if you do own ur own property but then get married, ur wife gets it? Are u not getting paid as much as us for the same job? Are being shamed for having a job because u have children u should be looking after whilst u let ur wife go out to earn the money?

I know all of these things have been solved now but that's only happened in the last hundred years or so. And I know you were only referring to the present but u will almost definitely never have it worse than we have. We've been dealt the dud hand throughout history in terms of our rights.

In a reply to the OP:
Probably equally hard being both depending on how you look at it. And we're brought up to deal with it. Like I've spent my entire life practicing to be a girl (not literally studying for it but u know what I mean). So it sucks with the whole period, pregnancy, childbirth, old stereotypes about women, etc. but you've spent your whole life learning to live with it.

    for white woman lol

I believe the bigger issue here is race. a white woman in society will be more privileged than people of colour, regardless of their gender.

Yh I agree, I was just talking about women on the whole cos that was what was relevant to this topic.
    Also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_pay_for_equal_work

However it is true that white women are more privileged. It's definitely changing and starting to become more equal in the western world but it's gonna take some time to get there. Same with gender equality. You can't change peoples' opinions overnight and white women had to fight for a damn long time before changes started to be made. I think it is the same with race. It's taking longer but it is getting there.

Oh jesus, cue the extreme-left social justice tumblr brigade on here droning on and on about their delusional privilege argument any minute now.

Quite frankly, i'm sick to the back teeth of hearing about wimmin's rights, homo rights, LBGTXYZ rights, efnik rights... the right to healthcare, the right to buy a gay wedding cake, the right to not have your smoke in my face even though you don't own the property, the right to this, the right to that - all of which for the most part are completely made up. When somebody says they have a 'right' to something nowadays, it usually means that they either want your money or want something you have via quotas, ie your job.

Women in 2014 Britain as well as the western world at large are treated just fine (well, culturally British women for the most part are), and if you want to harp on and be concerned about women's rights the go and worry about the rights of women in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan or Rotherham. That's where the real issue of women's rights is right now, places were women aren't complaining about imagined privileges but are fearful for their very lives and basic God-given rights as individuals.

Black women in Britain got the right to vote at the same time as white women, as far as I am aware.

What I learnt was that black females got the vote but they weren't guaranteed it and were allowed to be turned away for no reason. I believe black men got the vote before all women tho. Also I'm probably what you'd call left wing but I definitely do not agree with the majority of feminism (anymore)

I agree and do believe race plays a big part.

In my parent's "community" there's a lot of things boys can get away with and if a girl did the same thing it would be frowned upon. It really confuses all of my white friends why I can't do some stuff and it doesn't make sense to them whereas all my asian friend's understand why as they face similar challenges. It's kinda hard to explain things sometimes. However, I have noticed a lot of developments from 10 years ago to now so there is definitely progress and I feel I have more rights than what my female relatives did back then.
