well when my mum got attacked by my nextdoor neighbour i just called for help from a guy who was walking by and tried to pull the fat ***** off my mum

now ive been in a situation like that i get mad that i didn't smack her in the face

just goes to show if someone asked what i'd do if that happened (before it actually happened) i'd probably say smack her in the face but when it actually happens....

Yeah but it was probably a good thing you didn't smack her in the face. After watching shows like 24 Hours in Police Custody where fights start out because someone acts in self defense it never ends well for either party.
Like people say they started attacking the someone to stop a fight but then THEY can't stop and another fight starts.

Obviously depends on the circumstances but if ever somebody is in my house i'll be grabbing a knife/any weapon and hopefully ensuring they don't leave alive.

Not only do you not know what risk they pose until you yourself at tied at their feet begging for mercy, you'd also be doing something the British courts aren't capable of doing and administering justice to the vermin who terrorise innocent people time and time again after being out over and over again.
