House of Cards isn't really that political that you can't enjoy it. I can't into politics and I've got both seasons on blu-ray. Kate Mara is great in that. Whiplash also got nominated for film of the year, a feat impossible with him being one of the two main characters, if his acting wasn't up to scratch.

P.S. Off-topic, but the new Star Wars is going to be terrible.

well was there some kind of depressing scene? that's usually the criteria for movie nominations.

The movie is a crazy emotional rollercoaster. Legit watch it, even if you're gonna needlessly hate on FF for no reason. Whiplash is fantastic.

I feel like hero teams in film have had their day and will always be overshadowed by the success of the avengers franchise. Damn though, I'd kill for more watchmen movies, come on DC pull your finger out, marvel have made enough money!

Kate Mara is great but I don't think Miles Teller is a good Mr. Fantastic, I think they ****** up the first Fantastic Four films quite badly, so it can't do any worse than that.
