We called it Ice Cream.
What's the time Mr. Wolf was a whole different game!

whats the time mr wolf.
some of you clearly crazy. they say whats the time mr wolf then they either turn round (and you sneak up to wall) or say DINNER TIME and they chase after you.
cops and robbers was better though. got to run away from the cops (or chase robbers) and take the caught ones to the wall where they escape if they're tagged by another robber.
I wonder if these sorts of games still happen in schools now that kids all have phones and stuff

Nope.
"Did you see that picture/video on instagram/vine/facebook/twitter?" has replaced all the playground games. At least at secondary school level. There might be some hope with primary schools.
Have secondary school pupils ever played those games??
i used to put the names of my favourite singers here... then i realised nobody cared
I'm pretty sure in years 7/8/9 I still played playground games akin to that. Probably slightly more aggressive though.
if they shout at the time (e.g. 2 o clock) and you move that number of steps, it's what's the time mr wolf
if not, then we called it hot chocolate like laura said
we also had another one called red letter though i dont recall what it involved... move if you have letter __ in your name or something

It's not What's The Time Mr. Wolf because I played this too. You didn't get chased in this one, just put back to the start if you were caught moving. I'm trying to make a similar Habbo game and it's driving me NUTS thinking of the name. Statues and Polo sound familiar, but I definitely called it White Horse... tho that wouldn't make sense on Habbo![]()
