i used to wear makeup and my best clothes for the first year or so but he prefers me without makeup n sexy clothes (well, in public anyway) so nope i don't bother. I do try make effort to wear/do things he likes tho as long as I don't mind it and don't feel pressurised into it.

I only make an attempt to look good if I'm going to a formal event/place or work.

Otherwise I don't care that much, i look like a state most of the time so my partner can cope with that too

I like looking good but not for the benefit of anyone other than myself. When I look good, I feel good.

It's an interesting topic because people get really offended. I know Davina McCall got a lot of backlash for saying that a woman should look good for a man not to cheat on her, to keep him interested. It was widely misquoted and caused a lot of heat.

I, myself, am in better and healthier shape when I'm with somebody. I think it's important to look good for your partner because I think a sexual chemistry is really important. When I'm not in a relationship, I let my looks go to hell. Some would argue it's a self esteem thing but I enjoy looking good for someone else, it makes me feel more attractive.

I always compare it to cooking. When you're cooking for someone else, you use the best ingredients and your favourite recipe and cook up a storm. But when you're cooking for yourself, you're more likely to have beans on toast!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAA DYING IRL.

But nah. He should love you for who you are no matter what. Makeup or not. Dress or sweats. heels or flip flops. angry or sad.

I think it's always nice to put in effort. I like the idea of them being able to see 2 sides of you, 1 where you look like **** because you've just woken up and 1 where you've put in a effort to actually look nice, maybe for a special occasion or just as a nice surprise
@Expling; don't worry though, make-up isn't my kind of thing ;llllllllllll

You should always look presentable in public; whether for your partner or not.

    hahahahha are you sure??

I think it's definitely important to look decent (when you're out and about so people aren't looking and judging) but you shouldn't be going to extreme measures to look good

Pretty sure most people only make themselves look good for their own enjoyment anyway and this is definitely how it should be!
