i have a private instagram account for personal things and only a very few have access to it, as for my non personal instagram and facebook and such, more often than i used to. i have more of a life and genuinely like taking pictures for instagram / post lovely things and funny pics on snapchat and share stuff i find funny / relatable / worth sharing and spreading the word about on facebook! as for twitter just funny generic things and bants for all

I post pictures after a night out or if I've done anything fun
I very rarely make statuses. I think I've made 3 since I made a new account in Aug 2014
I update my profile pic every few months. Whenever I get bored of mine and have a nicer picture

Quite often on twitter but on facebook hardly ever which is odd since it used to be the other way around.
