    quite frankly anyone who has some sort of moral objection to using animals is wishing for a world that has never existed.

    it's not about the opinion, it's more so the fact a thread is created and everyone flocks to stroke one another's ego about how THEIR opinion is obviously the right one and everyone else are morons

    it's not me suddenly deciding, it's me watching it go on for months

    I get why they may be upset but they aren't about to recall 400 million new notes to reprint them. Maybe though they can make the changes when they start printing the new £10 notes.

    Read it again I didn't specifically say this thread? I said that's what's been happening on the forum lately. In this thread both you and FJ state your opinion whilst putting down an entire group of people who have a differing opinion. It's so negative and exhausting to read.

    It's a needless use of animal product but the deed has been done. It should have been stated from the start

    That is literally exactly what you've just done without even stating an opinion of your own, you just went on the attack with no other motive for your post

    @wixard;

    oh give over. you're just irked that the forum now has some diversity of opinion which isn't afraid to show itself anymore when previously many members didn't feel like posting because of howls of racism, xenophobe the the rest of the victim 'isms' when anything went against the trendy jerk fest opinion. ya just gonna have to realise and accept that this isn't hffm and we all have different views.

    and on the actual topic which me and Tom were actually discussing that's rather silly. animal product, as pointed out, is used in numerous things and it isn't the Bank of England's concern or role to pander to every minority with a grievance out there.

    I am a vegetarian and I really do not care. If they can avoid killing animals or using animals to make it, then great.

    Some people will moan about almost anything.

    in my opinion i think for something such as money that everybody uses then ppl deserve to know if even a trace of animal is in it

    i read somewhere that it only take half a cow to produce all the fivers made so far
