Huh? They never replaced him. You're probably thinking of their original drummer Chad Channing. Jason Everman played guitar for about a year before he was sacked because Kurt didn't like the way he head banged while playing guitar... even though Cobain himself would do something similar himself.

Yeah, Cobain felt Everman was stealing his fire and basically making him feel obselete. James was a superior player at that point in time.

Lol, dont laugh at me, I got a little mixed up

    I learned this yesterday:

Rival schools (Song sample in my sig) were named after a sega video game. Even their one and only album "United By Fate" was the subtitle to the game

lol... I thought you were talking about the game in your sig... never knew there was a band called that. Which probably means I'll hate them and then laugh at you for liking them

    - The popular Animals hit was not written by them, (the riff is theirs though) It was originally recorded in the 20's by Texas Alexander and later covered by Leadbelly, Charlie Byrd, Roy Acuff, Woody Guthrie, the Weavers, Peter, Paul & Mary, Henry Mancini, Dolly Parton, David Allan Coe, John Fahey, Waylon Jennings, Tim Hardin, Buster Poindexter, Marianne Faithful, Tracy Chapman and Bob Dylan.

-Cobain admits to stealing the SMLTS riff from Boston's - More than a feeling.

    - Muse stole the hysteria bassline from Faith No More's Epic :].

    - Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley both predicted their deaths. Not too sure about Marley's, but Hendrix wrote a song between 13th and 18th September 1969, almost exactly a year before he was found dead (18th September 1970). It was more of a poem, in which he suggested he would die a year later. So was his death fate or carefully planned? Even though his death is believed to have been an accident.

    - Jim Morrison (Doors), Janis Joplin (Greatest female vocalist in history), Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain all died at the age of 27.

-The genre emo is not new, it's been around since the late 80's. Bands like Jimmy Eat World made it popular/mainstream in the early 00's and since then, there's been a flood of these ****** bands incorporating screaming into their songs.

Well JEW has been around since the early 90's, just werent popular.

-Eric Clapton was born of a young and unmarried mother. To hide him from it, he grew up believing his grandparents were his parents, and his mother was his sister.

-"Dark side of the moon", the album by pink floyd, spent 741 weeks on the top billboard's hot 200 albums list. A recored yet to be even close to being broken

Yeah, I have all 4 of their main albums (Static Prevails, Clarity, Bleed American and Futures). The first 2 weren't great. It was Bleed American that was a great sucess, released in 2001, it helped bring the genre 'emo' into the spotlight.

Yeh, bleed american was the best, I think. Jimmy eat world is one of the very few bands who know what emo is really, not just a style or a fast way of getting popular.
Im kinda tired of the bands who are trying to be original, ill take for example, "The Click 5". Originallity is great, with style or the music itself, but some bands try so hard to be original, that it isnt original. The Click 5 dress up in suits at their concerts ect, which is showing they are trying way to hard to be original, at something that doesnt matter much anyway. They are trying to be known for something, but I dont really think it counts when thats what you are trying to do, is to be known for something so specific like that. If you dont understand, heres what its like: Its like giving yourself a nickname, and telling everyone to call you that. I dont know, it just kind of bothers me that bands are starting to get into looks more now than the actuall music they play.

-"We don't like their sound. Groups of guitars are on the way out." - Decca Records Rejecting the Beatles, in 1962

-"Help" by the beatles was written by John Lennon in 15 minutes.
