ok i used to use shockwave but found it quite wierd n annoying so i moved to that loreal party proof how eva u spell it, its very strong and great for spikes but its a problem washing out and so i now use brylcream ultra strong gel, its not cream its like a normal gell which is working fab, make sure the hair is wet first, then get ur hands wetn then rub together n keep threading ur hands through ur hair till its everywhere u want it to be and it will spike

Haha, yeh, spikes. It depends on what kind he wants. If he wants the neat kind (i dont suggest it, it doesnt look that good), it takes a while. But, if he wants to just make it spike a bit, and a bit messy-like: take some gel, spread it on your hands, some gel turns white to tell you youve spread it and mushed it around enough (it takes a few seconds), and then just run your fingers through your hair in all areas. It might take a while at first, but after a few days/weeks, you do it faster, and should be able to do it in under a minute.
