    People are always in war because people are never satisfied with their positions. They view conquest as the way to acquire this additional power. Also, they feel a need to prove themselves more powerful than their peers and dominance in war is one way to express that. That's what I came up with in 30 seconds atleast so the answer may not be the best or most accurate, thoughtful, or though provoking, but its an idea
    It costs nothing to be a good friend.

    I can answer why humans without beliefs do this, but to be thoroughly honest:

    1. It should be in a different forum. Poor MissAlice.
    2. It can be difficult to explain in words written, as written words can be interpreted the wrong way.
    3. I am terribly busy IRL and on other sites!
