I'm quite annoyed that someone has somehow used some sort of /give command (Admins...), considering on Creeper island there is a house made from bricks (which would have taken **** loads of clay!) and a house made of obsidian!

I haven't seen these houses but I think I can explain things. I haven't even been looking for clay, but I've found more than enough to build a brick house out of, it's not hard to find.
I can't remember who was building the obsidian house, but they were asking people to donate obsidian and they were making their own obsidian from surface level lava pools and stuff, I'm pretty sure it's legit.

The brick house is made by a non-admin and even if he was an admin we don't have access to the /give or /item command (as tom's post points out). If you look around and explore then they can surely find some clay or even ask others if they have found any.

On another note, the obsidian = water & lava = just mine away, even though it takes time to get a block.

It didnt take that long, i just kept walking and found what i could in a couple of hours, and i got told off for slowing the server down XD

Remember:

If you want to play on the server DO NOT update to 1.6 at this moment in time. The server will be updated to 1.6 when bukkit and the plugins the server uses are updated to work with the 1.6 update.
