The safety quiz is ridiculous, is it supposed to filter out pedophiles? Is he aware that this safety quiz is not a real test and people can lie to get in? If this is his way of reinstating the rules it is taking too much time and it really shouldn't be that difficult.

It also seems like Paul encourages Habbo users protesting against Channel 4 and the mute - such pretentiously hypocritical behavior; Channel 4 isn't responsible for their terrible solution, and he is enforcing the unnecessary mute.
The idea behind the safety quiz is to educate new users and for Sulake to have something, for when someone does inevitably break the rules, to say 'well, you knew what you were doing because you answered the quiz correctly, we did everything we could to ensure you knew the rules.' It's in no way an attempt at removing paedophiles from the site; the moderators and guardians are there for that.

And the mute is completely necessary; one to put an immediate end to the type of behaviour that landed them in this situation, and secondly so they can work on fixes to the problem. Sulake couldn't sit back and do nothing, to be honest the mute is the best reaction they could have given to the situation; it shows they are actively trying to prevent this behaviour from continuing and also working on a fix.

Could anyone C&P his tweet? Still blocked!

Also, in some ways the mute has been really good for Habbox. I've missed out on talking to particular people that I only had on Habbo but I'm not so bothered by that. Okay, it was harder to enforce the rules with the mute taking place, but it's been quite a laugh changing games to fit with the mute and working around it.

Ah, thank you. Eh, yeah, I don't really go by when he says it's going to be unmuted any more - he keeps changing it.

    Guys n gals - here's a couple of thoughts:

    - He's the CEO: although he'll have been in contact with everybody over the last couple of weeks, there will be plenty of testing going on. Hey, they might find a serious flaw in the coding so they might require additional test. A CEO's role is basically a frontman of the company, so although the communication by Paul L. is a bit poor, he'll at some level be receiving the same amount of news as us sometimes - he isn't an expert on coding/flash/shockwave/whatever runs Habbo nowadays.

    - .com isn't as significant: when there are sites like .es/.com.br with 000's more of regular users than .com, those sites are bigger cash cows for Sulake - they'll prioritise them a lot more (hell.. lose 2,000 users on .com or maybe 5/6,000 on .com.br? A lot more opportunity bringing income in from the latter). .com also happens to be at the front of the allegations, so any reintroduction of chat will be scrutinised heavily by the British press - looking at how its improved, whether there is a danger of letting young users on the site etc. This press will be passed on worldwide, so making sure its flawless would be a priority for Sulake.

    Default Update on .com

Hey guys, I received this tweet from Paul @PaulLaFo "Habbos, .com will be unmuted when we have tested and are satisfied with a few new systems, we think next week, BUT systems must be ok thx."

He says next week, are we sure on this? I'd like to know if he is going to unmute us next week.

Sorry if there is already a post about this.

Well they're unmuting a few hotels tomorrow from what I read - so I would guess .COM would be next week sometime. We'll just need to wait and see what happens.
