These riots no longer have a cause(as Tom said), it's just people with the intent to loot and cause criminal damage.

Reports of gangs forming in bits of Liverpool too, I mean I wasn't expecting it but Liverpool is no stranger to riots and more importantly, the strain of the recession which looting would mostly ease that... Totally opportunistic.
