Oh Garners removed his admin... **** is going down.
I just enabled AdBlock on Chrome for the first time in god knows how long to actually experience the redirect, and I think I just felt the rage everyone else seems to have felt for the first time.
Take the phrase 'our beautiful website' for example, which as far as I can see refers to the owners of Habbox. They may very well own the website and be responsible for keeping it available, but from what I can see - almost every bit of content that currently exists on all Habbox sites today has been created by a member of the community or a volunteer.
God knows how much time people have lovingly sank into Habbox for free, only to see themselves blocked off from their own content on account of their free choice to disable advertising.
I've never seen anything like it, mainly because a responsible website owner would look at alternative means to raise money and even reduce costs - instead of throttle people's access to the information they helped to put here in the first place.
If you want people to ditch AdBlock, you need to do it with a bit of grace. I don't think Wikipedia would turn around and stop people from accessing content that millions of people put there in the first place, and I think Habbox is in a similar boat - on a smaller scale.
Just have an owner that frequents the forum - that's been missing for the past 7 years.
Simple concept.

Would just like to point out how nice it is to see GM and admin supporting the public opinion for once rather than it seeming that they are going against them. *Thumps Up*![]()
Update:
I've been told that I can do whatever. We'll be removing the redirect and doing other changes that will encourage users to disable adblock on the Habbox sites without being redirected to another page. (Which is being worked on at this moment in time)
Although, I have been warned that they don't think they can maintain the services for much longer at this rate. Which may face dramtic downsizing such as: pruning of forums, threads and users.

Sounds like Jin wanted to be co owner to make money, not to serve the forum well considering he used to use it often for 5 years atleast...
Habbox isn't a business and shouldn't be ran like a business, It allows members volunteer to give a donation, in terms of money, time, skill, coding.
I understand he may be paying a bit out of his pocket but there are numerous other ways to solve this... E.g maybe adding another ad?
just delete members who haven't logged in for years and have low posts/no posts as well as all the thousands of spam bots that seem to just be banned and not deletedUpdate:
