Jay Z - Well I heard Hard Knock Life ages ago and saw he was a pretty decent rap artist and although his music has changed within albums it has all been really good.

my friend had a crappy monophonic ring tone on his old nokia of In The End. he sent me the proper song after, and ive liked them since then. this was about 3-4 years ago.

I Concur - They just messaged me on myspace. Usually I just ignore bands telling you to listen to them because usually they're bad and just looking for comments on their page, but this one caught me because it looks like they were actually looking up people with similar tastes in music as them. They told me I have an ace taste in music (mentioning Band Of Horses, Twilight Sad, Broken Social Scene Radiohead and Wilco), so it obviously wasent just one of those huge spam messages.
They're pretty decent.
