I can never imagine jack leaving a few people behind he'll probably be on his way back but then hit one of the guys and sail back or something, or he finds out their already outside the island.
No returning unlesshe obv finds it again seen as charlie turned off the yellow switch.
I think desmond might turn it back on.

yep the part where the switch is, is underwater.
I still don't get it charlie could of easily ran out and closed the hatch..... annoys me

just checked, he was able to close the hatch from the outside! so there was no need for him to die yet

I wouldn't be surprised if he had just "accepted destiny". There seems to be a significant "destiny" overtone with the show thus far. Or maybe the produers were just desperate to kill off the character..

But he had to die , or so he believed.
Perhaps the ONLY way that Claire would get off the Island is if Charlie died , if he had escaped there might've been a problem.
Also , if he let desomnd talk to Penny , he would have died , Charlie would have escaped and died anyway as Desmond wouldn't tell him how to save himself.
But if that did happen , he could have gotten on the chopper and that would've crashed killing them all.

I just found out that Mikhail is definitely dead, at Comic-con 2007 Damon Lindelof said:

"Pickett obviously died earlier, Klugh is gone, Mikhail is dead, so you know there are more of us than the Others, we did pretty well in sort of the final tally."

I feel so uneducated on Lost, I've almost forgotten the entire season's story. I can't even remember what the light does, or its significance.
