Modest Mouse -- saw the video for "Ocean Breathes Salty" online about 3 years ago when GNFPWLBN first came out. They were one of the weirdest bands I'd ever heard at the time, but now they're normal compared to most of the other stuff I listen to.

Arctic Monkeys -- I probably heard of them somewhere through this forum in late 2005, but then the whole "5th greatest british album ever" thing happened and I listened and I thought it was okay, but over hyped. It wasn't really till their last album that I really started to like them though.
