Bose are good, but they're not the best. You're paying for the name.

Actually, it all depends upon how you like your music to sound. Bose delivers rich bassy tones but still manages to retain its crisp clear vocals at the same time. Yes my iPod dock was very pricy, but the sound it produces is almost if not equal to my home theatre system. Other brand names such as JBL and Kef's sound is different to that of Bose.

But yes, you do fork out excess for the name, but receive in turn the quality that it traits.
