I had 2 ideas in my head swirling around that I've been trying to sort out but 1 of them is a bit tricky and it's slowed me down so I've decided to focus on the pretty straightforward idea and come back to the challenging one later. The easy one is adding credits as prizes. Just working out the numbers so there's a nice balance between not giving away 100 gold bars a week and not making it too difficult that people get bored. The hard one is introducing a Habbox-wide achievements system (similar to RS task system/xbox achievements) where there are beginner, medium, hard tasks for departments and winning small number of tokens per task and a big lump sum per 'set.' Trying to work out the practicalities of the latter means I've neglected the former even though I didn't need to. Think it might just be too difficult to implement so I've decided to post it publically and maybe someone will say something that will give me the lightbulb moment or I consign it as one of those wacky ideas that just can't work out

So basically, I better not buy the 3 months of VIP anytime soon and instead wait to see what's coming?

The fact I've been here since like 2007 and got nothing to be rewarded is insulting tbh.

Specially with me having just 62 tokens! - Do it based on activity too or something.

    You get anniversary VIP .
And Tokens is new so won't count for anything prior to its implementation, so just any posts etc you make now will result in tokens added .

    Not online very often

So much rep for this post. It pisses me off, so much. Why would you put random acronyms at the end of sentences when it doesn't make sense ymca?

On topic; don't put the VIP privileges on sale in the shop.

You mean the 3 months of VIP? I think that is a good idea. VIP is rewarded to people to win stuff by either being a good staff, good debater etc, by working to get tokens you're being a good member, which is nice to be rewarded as well.

Selling the VIP is fine, but what's the point of selling the VIP rewards, isn't that what makes VIP different to donator? It doesn't make sense.

I'm not getting it. Selling the VIP is fine, but not its rewards? What do you confider as VIP/VIP rewards? And what makes it different from Donator is that fact that you have to earn it, like people do when they try to earn tokens.

There is a difference in VIP and Donator other than the name and the earning aspect.

VIP's can change usernames, Donators can't.
A PM storage capacity of 800 messages, Donators don't get increased amount.
Ability to see who gave you reputation, Donators can't.
Option to make yourself invisible, Donators can't.
Be able to close your own threads, Donators can't.
Access to an exclusive VIP Forum, Donators don't.

I also thought that VIP get larger avatars/signatures, but obviously I'm wrong on that. So the whole not selling privileges aspect gets nulled. But so is the original argument, Skandair said he had to change his avatar when he changed from VIP/Donator. He doesn't, so there's no reason to add it in the shops. You would be buying nothing.
